The post-rock favorites tour Europe in September and October.

Sigur Rós are to tour Europe later in 2017, playing a mix of music from their back catalogue as well as new and unreleased material from their forthcoming eighth studio album.

The tour, which visits cities including London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam through September and October, is the same intimate show debuted in the US last year, and sees the group perform as a three-piece.

Titled ‘An Evening with Sigur Rós’, the show is also the first time the post-rock band have toured Europe without a support band, instead playing two sets with an interval.

The post-rock veterans have been teasing a new album since 2016, debuting a song called ‘Óveður’ prior to their US tour, which then soundtracked a 24-hour livestream event called Route One. A release date for the untitled eighth studio album has yet to be announced.

Tickets go on sale to subscribers of the Sigur Rós mailing list on February 1, with general sale starting on February 3 at 9am GMT. Check the full list of dates below.
