warp1-12.10.2013

It’s hard to believe that Warp Films have been around for 10 years already.

When the legendary label announced its plans to move into independent filmmaking, few fans could have predicted the impact that they would have on British cinema. Ten years later and they’ve amassed quite the catalogue, with each release managing to confuse and amaze probably in equal measure. If you’ve managed to see Kill List, Submarine, This Is England or Four Lions (to name only a few of Warp Films’ most important releases), then you’ll know exactly what we’re on about.

Warp set out to bring the same unrelenting quality control to cinema that they had brought to music, and now their 10 year legacy has been collected in a bumper coffee table book and DVD set just in time for Christmas. The book itself contains a slick selection of previously unseen and archival images from the making of all of the Warp films produced over the last decade, and ten of their most important films are bundled on DVD: Dead Man’s Shoes, This Is England, All Tomorrow’s Parties, Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee, Bunny and the Bull, Submarine, Four Lions, Tyrannosaur, Kill List and Snowtown.

Warp have kindly provided us with a series of gorgeous shots of the book, which you can view over the next 19 pages. WarpFilms10 is available now and can be ordered here.
