Toro Y Moi AKA Chaz Bundick will next month unveil the debut single Les Sins – his new, more dancefloor-oriented recording project.

The US singer/multi-instrumentalist has won much acclaim as Toro for his sighing, sepia-toned electronic pop album Causers Of This,  but the two tracks on Les Sins’ upcoming 12″, ‘Lina’ and ‘Youth Club’, are more club-friendly, without sacrificing any of the unique character that made Causers such a captivating listen. Both 4/4 numbers, they were recorded in Spring 2009 at Chaz’s home studio in Columbia, South Carolina.

This month and next there’s ample opportunity to catch Toro Y Moi performing live in the UK; he’ll be playing headline shows at Cardiff’s Arts Institute (October 18) and London’s Cargo (October 19), before heading out on tour as support for Foals. Full dates below.
