Moogfest 2010 takes place on October 29 in Ashville, North Carolina.

A festival dedicated to the legacy of Robert Moog (we’ll give you one guess what instrument he invented), Moogfest traditionally took place in New York, but this year has relocated to Ashville, the place Moog called home for the last 20 years of his life.

Among the artists playing, you’ll find Outkast’s Big Boi, Caribou, boogie ambassador Dam-Funk, legendary weirdos Devo, Def Jux leader El-P, synth wielding three-piece Emeralds, Ikonika, Lorn, Massive Attack, Matmos, Four Tet, Hot Chip, MGMT, Panda Bear, Nosaj Thing, Omar Souleyman, Sleigh Bells… a lot, basically.

On top of the music, there’s a selection of workshops and panel discussions, a synth art show, and more. Tickets are still available from the Moogfest homepage, with individual day tickets starting at $75.
