Today sees the long-awaited release of The Beach Boys’ The SMiLE Sessions.

Though Brian Wilson completed his own version of the album in 2004, this new release represents the first time the original sessions – from 1966-’67 – have seen the full light of day. The SMiLE Sessions is comprised of 40 tracks, including the finished album, numerous bonus tracks and studio demos and outtakes.

The album is available as a regular 2xCD set or as a lavish box set featuring 5xCD, 2xLP, 2×7″ and a 60-page book. If you’ve not yet decided whether or not you want to part with your hard-earned for this piece of all-American pie, then head over to Spinner, where you can stream all of the album’s 40 tracks [click on the SMiLE album cover if the tracks don’t appear for you immediately], from now until Monday 7 November.
