Kode9, James Holden and Mount Kimbie sign up for MUTEK Mexico

Not unlike its European counterpart Unsound, Montreal’s MUTEK Festival is a wonderful showcase for adventurous and eccentric electronic music.

Following another successful Canadian edition, MUTEK are heading south of the border for the tenth year with a seven-day showcase in Mexico city. A slew of artists have been added to programme, which runs from September 30-October 6.

Hyperdub boss Kode9 is confirmed to play, and can be expected to bring an eclectic set in line with his excellent Rinse 22 session. Electronica darlings Mount Kimbie will bring their souped-up live set-up, and Border Community kingpin James Holden will give The Inheritors material a proper whirl. Actress, JETS and Amon Tobin are also on the impressive bill, as are FaltyDL and Matmos.
