Portishead and Interpol to headline ATP Iceland 2014

The seaside weekenders may be over, but All Tomorrow’s Parties rides again.

The first headline acts for ATP Iceland 2014 have been named as Portishead and Interpol, with both bands set to perform on the island for the first time.

The Bristolian trio have a close history with ATP, with the Portishead-curated ATP marking the band’s return to the stage back in 2007. For Interpol, meanwhile, the Iceland event will be the band’s first ATP appearance.

Portishead will headline on July 11 and Interpol on July 12 alongside Icelandic acts Sóley, For a Minor Reflection, Samaris, Low Roar, and Mammút. More international and Icelandic acts will be revealed in the coming weeks. The festival starts on July 10 at Ásbrú, a former NATO base in Keflavík. Grab tickets here.

The final ever ATP holiday camps took place at the end of 2013, featuring the likes of Television, Oneohtrix Point Never, Loop and Fennesz over two weekends.

Portishead member Adrian Utley recently unveiled his guitar orchestra version of Terry Riley’s minimalist touchstone ‘In C’ – hear it below:
