Nas10414

A major new name parachutes into Lovebox.

Killer booking klaxon: Nas will be performing his seminal 1994 debut Illmatic in its entirety at this year’s Lovebox festival. The show will serve as part of that album’s 20th anniversary celebrations, and will be Nas’ only UK Illmatic performance – moving swiftly is advised.

If that’s not reason enough to cop a ticket – which, in our book, it most certainly is – a slew of other acts have been announced. Master At Work Kenny Dope will be bringing one of his lively ‘Disco Fever’ DJ sets, Soul Clap will be blaming it on the boogie, Benji B will be spinning, and the chart-bothering Breach will also step into the, er, breach. Other additions include DJ EZ, Fort Romeau, Cottam, Norman Jay, Monki, Soul II Soul and Tom Trago, amongst others.

They join the likes of Madlib, A$AP Rocky, Joy Orbison, Mount Kimbie and Scuba. Lovebox takes place from July 18-19 at Victoria Park. For more information, head here.
