Crookers, the Italian DJ duo so shameless about playing whopping big party tune after whopping big party tune that it’s actually oddly creditable, have announced some details of their debut album, Tons Of Friends.

Following their deservedly huge remix of Kid Cudi’s ‘Day & Nite’, Crookers have become rather hot property at the more commercial end of the dance music spectrum, and for Tons Of Friends they’ve translated that heat into a roll-call of guest musicians star-studded to the point of absurdity: Kelis, Soulwax, Major Lazer, Radioclit, Spank Rock, Roisin Murphy, Pitbull and, inexplicably, Tim Burgess all make appearances, though the exact nature of their contributions is as yet unknown.

Tons of Friends isn’t out until January 2010, but its first single, ‘Put Your Hands On Me’, drops in early October on Southern Fried Records. It’s emphatically silly, carnival-friendly hip-house in true Crookers style, and features vocals from Kardinal Official and Xenomania’s Carla Marie Williams. You can listen to it here.
