FACT Mix 78 comes from Sasu Ripatti, but you probably know him best as Luomo, or Vladislav Delay.

One of the golden lights of the early 00s micro-house movement (the album Vocalcity, as Luomo, is considered a classic of the genre), Delay’s already played a part in two of the more enjoyable albums of the last six months, The Moritz Von Oswald Trio’s Vertical Ascent, where he contributed percussion, and his own Tummaa. That’s not forgetting his production on the last AGF/Delay album, and last year’s much underrated Convivial, the Luomo album featuring appearances from the Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears (seriously).

As you might expect from someone as constantly subversive as Ripatti, his contribution to the FACT mix series isn’t a house mix; instead it takes the form of a mixtape for the end of summer. If you ever wanted to know what a European techno legend listens to when he’s doing the gardening on a Sunday morning, well, this is it.
