We’ve got a copy of Animal Collective‘s acclaimed “visual album”, ODDSAC, to give away on DVD to one lucky FACT reader.

A collaboration between the band and their filmmaker friend Danny Perez, ODDSAC is described in a press release as “a dense and surreal layering of audio and visual elements that eschews conventional narrative to create a visceral, immersive experience”, and who are we to argue?

“It was meant to be an open-ended marriage of audio and video,” explains Perez. “The passing back and forth of visuals and sound so that each would inform the other and create an organic structure.”

Four years in the making, ODDSAC premiered in New York earlier this year, and has since screened at cinemas around the world. The handsomely packaged DVD release comes courtesy of Plexi Film.
