American indie icons Animal Collective will curate next year’s May All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in the UK.

ATP promoter Barry Hogan has apparently “always wondered what kind of mix CD Animal Collective would put together”, and if the line-up of this ATP is anything to go by, it’s not a bad one. Alongside Animal Collective, you’ll find their dance-pop bros Gang Gang Dance, IUD and Black Dice, dub legend Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, eccentric pop from Broadcast and Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, and cult punk from Meat Puppets and The Frogs (performing albums Up on the Sun and It’s Only Right and Natural respectively).

Dance music is represented by Vladislav Delay, Omar-S and Zomby, while fans of the Sublime Frequencies label will be treated to a live show by Group Doueh, plus films and DJ sets from the folk behind SF. Elsewhere there’s Dent May, Deradoorian, Prince Rama, Spectrum and the Brothers Unlimited, with more to be announced.

Animal Collective’s ATP takes place from May 13-15 at Butlins, Minehead. Tickets go on sale this Friday from seetickets.
