The Lake District’s Kendal Calling Festival have today announced a mammoth 80 new additions to their line-up.

Joining already-confirmed headliners Basement Jaxx, The Charlatans and Primal Scream are US agit-rap legends Public Enemy, Smiths/Electronic guitarist Johnny Marr and The Streets himself Mike Skinner. The rest of the lineup doesn’t look to shabby either, with Bristolian ‘Brown Paper Bag’ man Roni Size jumping in to fuel the d&b nostalgia along with scene Godfather Grooverider, Jackmaster around to drop some (digital, we presume) tunes and Oneman to keep things the right side of credible.

The festival will run from Friday July 26 to Sunday July 28, so with any luck the sun should be shining across the beautiful landscape, then again knowing English weather it’ll probably be pissing it down. Thank goodness there are going to be 12 stages of music to keep our minds off it eh?
