James Holden, Jon Hopkins and Bonobo join Sonar Rekjavik

More names from the electronica set have been announced for both Sonar Reykjavik and the smaller-scale Sonar Stockholm, running simultaneously.

Border Community boss James Holden will be showcasing material from his knotty new LP The Inheritors, and two-time Mercury nominee Jon Hopkins will take his recent Immunity album to the stage. Tri Angle’s spooked beatmaker Evian Christ, Ninja Tune regular and The North Border trawler Bonobo, and the esteemed Paul Kalkbrenner will also appear.

They join the likes of Major Lazer, When Saints Go Machine, Kenton Slash Demon and Air spin-off Starwalker at the Reykjavik date. The festival have also announced that, as per last year, they will be transforming the venue’s underground car park into a fully functional nightclub.

Sonar Reykjavik runs from February 13-15, with Sonar Stockholm taking place on February 14-15.
