Michael Gira’s merry band of bastards have announced a series of UK and Ireland dates for May.

Swans’ albums are monolithic enough – their most recent effort, To Be Kind, was two hours long – but the band’s live shows are where they truly ascend, sometimes lasting up to three hours. The group have now added a selection of British dates to their May European tour, including shows in London (21 May, The Roundhouse) and Glasgow (May 23, Art School).
