The bass-focused beach festival adds some star power veterans to the line-up.

Detroit hip hop crew Slum Village and Ninja Tune’s Mr Scruff have joined the bill of this year’s Soundwave Festival in Croatia.

Maribou State, Catching Flies, K.O.G. & The Zongo Brigade and Remi are among the other new additions, while Bonobo collaborator Andreya Triana will play an acoustic set. They join the likes of Alice Russell, Fatima, LTJ Bukem, Alexander Nut and Mala on the bill.

This year’s festival also sees the introduction of a film programme showcasing independent and Croatian cinema, plus Soundwave has announced its Run to the Sun party tours, a collection of small, intimate parties across Europe in the lead-up to the festival, stopping at cities including Berlin, Paris, Krakow, Amsterdam, and Budapest.

But most importantly, this year’s festival has moved from July to August, meaning it now coincides with The Tisno International Donkey Racing Championships.

Soundwave Festival takes place from August 6-10 at The Garden, Tisno. Find out more and get tickets from Soundwave.
