Jenny Hval‘s Apocalypse, girl is already one of the most powerful albums of the year, and few moments are more arresting than ‘Take Care Of Yourself’. The song, which prompted Hval to say ‘vulnerability is for everybody, regardless of sex and gender’ in our recent interview, now has a new music video directed by Miles Joris-Peyrafitt. Filmed during a performance at Studio 48 in New York, we see both Hval’s unique staging and her entrancing presence with an audience. Watch it above and find tour dates and a quote from her below.

“Show was in a dance club. Huge wrecking/disco ball threatening to demolish the stage. Audience was well lit, looking at each other. Intimacy and performance team’s lipstick evenly distributed. I sang into a plastic flower, or an imaginary plastic flower.”
