Soul II Soul, Todd Terry, Roy Ayers and more line up for the Trent Park festival.

51st State, the London festival celebrating soulful dance music, has revealed its line-up for 2016.

Run by London promoter Found, the Trent Park festival returns in August after a roaring 2015 debut, once again covering everything from classic house to dancehall and garage.

The festival’s main stage is this year headlined by Tony Humphries, David Morales and Louie Vega’s Kings of House trio, along with appearances from Soul II Soul, Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry, Marshall Jefferson and Mike Dunn, hosted by soul singer Barbara Tucker.

The Groove Odyssey arena sees Francois K, Joe Claussell and Danny Krivit bring a taste of the Body & Soul party to London with Teddy Douglas, Karizma and Spen’s Basement Boys project, while the BackTo95 stage sees sets from Crystal Waters, Todd Edwards, The Artful Dodger and Matt Jam Lamont.

Other highlights include funk legend Roy Ayers, dancehall from Mr Vegas and Tippa Irie, Channel One and The Heatwave, as well as a VIP area featuring Joey Negro, John Morales and Horse Meat Disco.

51st State 2016 takes place on August 6 at Trent Park in North London. Tickets and full information can be found at the 51st State website.

The festival is one of several events planned by the Found team this summer, alongside Found Festival, Born & Bred and United.
