Northern Ireland’s electronic music and digital visual arts festival takes shape.
Belfast’s AVA Festival has revealed the first names and daytime conference programme for this year’s event, taking place in June.
Berghain regular Rødhåd, Glasgow heroes Optimo, Mano Le Tough, Gerd Janson, Phil Kieran and Hammer top the evening line-up alongside local boys Bicep, who will deliver the UK premiere of their new live show.
The festival’s daytime conference programme has also been announced, with a Q&A with Detroit techno originator Juan Atkins heading up the list of keynote speakers, panel sessions and presentations from Ableton, Pioneer and Native Instruments.
Bicep will also talk about their transition from DJ set to live show, Shanti Celeste will appear on a panel discussing women in electronic music and writer Dave Haslam will discuss the creative, cultural and economic value of club culture.
The one-day festival takes place in Belfast on June 4 at the city’s T13 Warehouse located at the Titanic Quarter Docks. Full information and tickets can be found at the AVA Festival website.
