The Gucci-helmed charity event is set to descend on Twickenham Stadium on June 1.

Chime For Change is a global campaign to raise funds and awareness for women’s and girls’ empowerment, so it seems fitting that the Queen of pop herself should be headlining their first live event. She caught flak from some quarters this month after ‘Bow Down’ hit the net, but as Lauren Martin noted in our Singles Club this week, the reaction only serves to highlight the double standards people still have.

Beyonce is set to be joined by a host of heavy hitters with Ellie Goulding, Florence and and the Machine, Iggy Azelea, John Legend, Rita Ora, Timbaland, Laura Pausini and Haim rounding out the current lineup. It’s certainly an epic selection, and with any luck it should forward the organization’s goal of promoting education, health and justice for women around the world.
