The male half of lo-fi larkers Hype Williams has made his new record available via Soundcloud.

The Narcissist II is a half-hour suite of gauzy synthwork, spotted with mangled samples and eerie fragments of found sound. As befits that title, Blunt trades in his usual identity play in favour of something a little more direct. Blunt’s voice is unusually prominent, and fellow Hype Williams member Inga Copeland also contributes vocals.

The Narcissist II serves as a precursor to the band’s upcoming LP for Hyperdub, Black Is Beautiful. The record will see release on April 16; you can peruse the tracklist and the (typically arch) cover art below.
