Essential new music from Theo Burt on London’s Entr’acte.

Created from tracks by such trance luminaries as Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Sonique and Swedish House Mafia, Burt uses Fourier transformation to utterly blur their music into swathes of harmonically rich, sweeping, alternately gentle and dramatic granular oblivion.

Host label-owner Allon Kaye likens the results almost to a chemical process – the adding of some kind of catalyst to a liquid test tube specimen, the mixture dissipating into something skeletal, crystalline and beautiful – and it really doesn’t get more accurate than that. With only 200 copies available, this should be bought immediately and played loud through big speakers.
