Feist’s ‘Bittersweet Melodies’ finds the Canadian singer-songwriter in a reflective mood. The song is reminiscent of Carole King somewhat, with warm woodwinds and chimes adding to the nostalgic aura. The video, just released to Rolling Stone, underscores all this by positing a series of side-by-side still images with similar subjects, poses, settings, and attire, set apart only by time and the aging of the photographed persons.
