The Internet, one of the many heads on the Odd Future hydra, have turned their attention to Lana Del Rey.

Although ‘Video Games’ got re-rubs from everyone from Joy O to Jamie Woon, ‘Blue Jeans’ has (save the recent Blood Orange and D/R/U/G/S remixes) remained relatively untouched. Syd Tha Kid and Matt Martian’s woozy psych-soul project is one of the more interesting OFWGKTA offshoots, and a fine candidate to muck around with Del Rey’s other calling card.

The pair’s remix of ‘Blue Jeans’ is an effective meeting of minds; in keeping with Del Rey’s languorous delivery, The Internet keep things downbeat. Del Rey’s vocal line is left to smoulder over a loping R&B instrumental. If they’d called this ‘Deep Blue Jeans’, they’d have nailed the mood: groggy, aquatic and unsettling.
