Stones Throw will release Chrome Canyon’s debut Elemental Themes.

The solo project of New York artist Morgan Z, formerly of glam-pop act Apes & Androids, glows with the analog-digital symbiosis of 80s soundscapes. It’s no surprise that Vangelis, Wendy Carlos, and Giorgio Moroder are cited as touchstones in Morgan’s background.

Chrome Canyon has produced similarly metallic remixes of Phoenix, Passion Pit, and Foster the People. Download the Theremin-fueled ‘Generations’ below; Elemental Themes will be out on October 9.
