Grab a track from Scottish dreamweaver Lord Of The Isles

House newcomer Lord Of The Isles is the next artist to release on the newly revamped Phonica Records.

The Scot has notched up releases for the likes of Unthank and Cocktail D’Amore, and now has a worthwhile four-track release on the way. The Year Of The City EP continues in a similar analog vein to his previous work, touted by the label as “passive-aggressive ambient music”. While winsome, there’s a real sense of muscle at play, particularly on the Detroit-leaning ‘Forkx’. Gauzy miniature ‘Lost Empire’ is available to download below.

Year Of The City is due next month on Phonica Records on 180g vinyl; upfront copies are available now direct from Phonica.
