Stream Robert Smith's goth-lounge cover of Frank Sinatra's 'Witchcraft'

The Cure frontman covers ‘Witchcraft’ for the Frankenweenie soundtrack.

The score and soundtrack for Tim Burton’s remake of his 1984 film of the same name are out today. The film, about a boy who reanimates his dead dog, is out on October 5.

The soundtrack features Karen O, Passion Pit, Kimbra, and actress Winona Ryder, among others, but the highlight appears to be this cover of the Frank Sinatra classic ‘Witchcraft’, recorded by the gloomy Robert Smith.

Smith is as dreary as ever, but there’s a certain playfulness to the song, considering that he takes a break from crooning to scat. Head over to the Freakshow Nightmare, Dancing Skeletons Tumblr for a stream of the song.
