Warped, windswept hip-hop is Odd Nosdam’s bread and butter.

Odd Nosdam was the silent third member of anticon. legends cLOUDDEAD, producing trippy, freewheeling beats which owed as much to shoegaze and ambient as they did to conventional head-nod. Since cLOUDDEAD’s 2004 swansong Ten, he’s released a clutch of solo releases – including, in the shape of 2005’s Burner and 2007’s Level Live Wires, two severely underrated albums of blunted electronica.

Over the last few years, he’s collaborated with anticon. co-founder Jel to produce beats for Chicago backpack rapper Serengeti. Geti Beats Vol 1. is a free Bandcamp download collecting  a selection of the pair’s best Serengeti instrumentals, compiled primarily from this year’s Kenny Dennis EP and C.A.R. LP.
