Granted, it’s for a Lincoln advert but this is pretty damn cool.

As announced last week, West Coast wildcard Beck had signed up to perform David Bowie’s ‘Sound & Vision with “no limitations or restrictions”, for a concert sponsored by the motor company. Being Beck, he performed the piece with a 157-piece orchestra – conducted by Beck’s father David Campbell, and featuring orchestral standards like xylophone, mandolin, electric guitar and, as Rolling Stone point out, “a man playing a bent saw blade” – on a slowly rotating stage. Also being Beck, it takes a while to get going, but the eventual results are wonderful. There’s an interactive online version of the performance in the pipeline (more on that here), but until then, this will do us just fine. Watch it above.
