Hear the Todd Terje/Tensnake-approved producer’s maiden full-length for Pemanent Vacation.

Mano Le Tough was talked up throughout 2012 as one to keep a close eye on: his DJ sets have won great feedback across the board, and the ‘Mountains’ 12″ showed him continuing to elaborate his delicate sound. Changing Days is a pretty, featherweight house collection, characterised by stippled synths and light-touch drum programming. As on yearning album taster ‘Please’, his sound is avowedly synthetic but thoroughly charming, and the record shares a lot of DNA with fellow Permanent Vacationer John Talabot. Le Tough’s aim was reportedly to make a record with “an emotional resonance without being overly sentimental or schmaltzy”. Mission accomplished.

Changing Days is due on February 22 on Permanent Vacation. Head here to listen, via Resident Advisor.
