Enigmatic rapper/producer Spaceghostpurrp might have been uncharacteristically quiet recently, but this latest production shows he’s still hard at work mining the same rich seam of codeine-laced rap.

This time Purrp kindly lends his production skills to fellow Raider Klan affiliate Chris Travis, and while Travis’s inebriated rhymes are forgettable enough, it’s Purrp’s production that sets ‘Anything You Wanna Do’ apart from the competition. Built around a single sample, Purrp fires it through his usual bank of sounds, layering atmospheres and rainfall over the slightly off-kilter Triple Six-indebted rhythms. The result is a murky, low-end heavy slow burner, chock full of menace and Purrp’s signature lo-fidelity grit.
