We analysed Para One’s original track in our Singles Club, and now it’s time for Night Slugs’ Girl Unit to have a crack at it.

The ‘Wut’ producer strips ‘Every Little Thing Remix’ down to its bones before rebuilding it in his image. His expected neon synths now drape Para’s sleazy vocal and help Cam’Ron’s unexpected guest appearance sound uncharacteristically widescreen, while spacious, cracking percussion makes the whole thing feel like it wouldn’t be out of place soundtracking a teen movie in back 1990.

It’s sturdy stuff from Girl Unit as he deftly manages to sound entirely in his own world while still keeping the soul of the original track intact, which is no mean feat.
