R&B collective JODY share the romantic ‘The Long Goodbye’
The Chicago group release the first song from their forthcoming EP.
Like their Magique EP, JODY’s ‘The Long Goodbye’ combines quiet storm vocals, a bit of pitch-perfect rapping, and the spacey production of The-Drum into a seductive R&B jam.
The group has relied on a revolving group of vocalists, and this track features Cole Johnson, David Robertson, and Khallee Standberry-Lois (with production, as always, by The-Drum). It’s the first single from the second JODY EP. For their part, The-Drum will release their debut album, Contact, next month.
