The-Drum share new single, produce track for gloomy Chicago rapper KIT

The Chicago duo stay busy in advance of the release of their debut album.

The duo of Jeremiah Chrome and Brandon Boom will release their debut album, Contact, later this month. While the FACT Singles Club-approved ‘Sirens’ was a frenetic and hypnotic mass of samples and percussion, ‘Switch’ is more meditative: it gently cascades out of the speakers, with synths that bubble and gurgle.

In addition, the pair have taken a break from producing for forward-thinking R&B collective JODY to craft a track for gloomy Chicago rapper KIT. ‘Fuck You’ drowns in bass, and KIT’s nearly-whispered rap is just another element of the sinister sex jam.

Stream ‘Switch’ and watch the video for ‘Fuck You’ below. Contact is due out on June 26 via Audraglint as a double vinyl LP; it will be bundled with a vinyl version of last year’s Sense Net EP.
