Premiere: download Soul Clap’s remix of ‘Trying to be Cool’, from Phoenix’s latest album Bankrupt!
Boston duo Soul Clap [above] have remixed ‘Trying to be Cool’, from Phoenix‘s latest album Bankrupt!.
In typical Soul Clap fashion, the remix doesn’t rush, and even though the vocals and bassline are what initially stand out, it’s that funky melody lurking at the start that you suspect Soul Clap enjoyed the most. They are working with George Clinton these days, after all. Bonus beat: Check out last year’s FACT mix for Soul Clap at their best.
