It’s the Skreamix.

Skream‘s transition from dubstep to disco has been much talked about, and it’s rarely been more evident than on this new ‘Skreamix’ for 4AD’s neo-soul duo inc.‘s ‘5 Days’. The ex-dubstep posterboy pulls back the original track’s syncopated stutter, replacing it with sizzling beatbox-sampled kicks and snares, and lavishing the track with the kind of house piano stabs that thirty-somethings still dream about constantly.

It’s a refreshing take on the track, and one that should cement once and for all that Skream doesn’t make dubstep any more. That is until he re-discovers it in a few years, of course.
