Premiere: Trouble & Bass flirts with Latin freestyle on Santino's Sabor De Tú Amor EP

The new project from Drop the Lime and graphic artist Aerosyn Lex is a change of pace for the Heavy Bass Champions of the World.

Santino’s ‘Sabor De Tú Amor’ (“Taste Of Your Love”) bristles with freestyle’s electro synths, drum machine beats, and Latin percussion; it’s a throwback summer jam inspired by Stevie B and Lisa Lisa.

The single is paired with a handful of remixes: Diplo and DJA provide a wobbly, luvstep version, Argentinan duo Frikstailers swap freestyle for cumbia, and Tomb Crew & Wholesick amp-up the original with the peak hour in mind. Most intriguing is the remix by new duo Baryshnikov, who recruited freestyle legend Nocera (‘Summertime, Summertime’) to sing the tune.

Stream the Sabor De Tú Amor EP (and check out Aerosyn-Lex’s Art Deco-inspired cover art) below; it’s due out on August 13 via Trouble & Bass.
