Childish Gambino announces new album, confronts criticism on 'Yaphet Kotto (Freestyle)'

Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover teases the follow-up to 2011’s Camp.

Over a soaring beat reminiscent of King Geedorah’s ‘Fastlane’, Childish Gambino gives voice to his haters (“Worst rapper to ever spit on an open mic / Worst rapper to ever get on so many lights / Worst rapper to ever blow up and over night”) before taking them down a peg (“You drive until the lease up / I drive until it’s dirty, please somebody call the brinks truck”).

He also shouts out Chance the Rapper, who appears in Glover’s short film Clapping For The Wrong Reasons, and mentions his plans for a sitcom about the Atlanta music scene.
