Black Star emerged from New York’s frothing 90s underground rap scene, and quickly achieved world domination.

Few albums capture the era so succinctly as the duo’s lone album – 1998’s Mos Def & Talib Kweli are Black Star – and it still holds up as one of the genre’s greatest triumphs. Now, thanks to Soundcrash, Mos Def (now known as Yasiin Bey ) and Talib Kweli are set to descend on London hotspot The Forum on March 29  for an exclusive one-off show, and have pulled together a couple of eager associates to help out.

Veteran turntablist and Stones Throw associate J. Rocc will be providing the support, along with former Scratch Pervert Mr. Thing who’ll be holding it down for the Brit contingent. Needless to say it’s shaping up to be an essential show – even without the ample support Black Star should be unmissable.
