The Liverpudlian producer provides a bombastic remix of La Havas’ shifty ‘Forget.’

Unlike Laurel Halo’s superb remix, which submerged La Havas’ vocals beneath an avalanche of hyper rhythms, Melé’s version keeps the focus on the English folk singer. That’s where the similarity to La Havas’ seductive broken-beat original ends.

On his remix, Melé opts for the brassy rap bombast on TNGHT, a formula he followed on his recent mixtape. The remix doesn’t have the retro-synth melodics of the recently-released ‘Space Jam’ but the martial horn melody is as intense as the ‘Imperial Death March.’
