Stones Throw’s Chrome Canyon loves a schmaltzy synth jam. 

Following on from remixes for the likes of Passion Pit and Phoenix, the NY producer has turned out Elemental Themes, a jolly LP of glossy throwback fun. ‘Pluze’ is taken from that album, and it’s a slinky bit of new-age tomfoolery. The video is pitch perfect: imagine an episode of Tomorrow’s World floor managed by Syd Barrett, and you’ve just about got the picture. Also – squint hard enough and Mr. Canyon could be Richie Hawtin. We’re just saying.
