Just because they’re nice like that, grime standard-bearers Butterz are giving away a download of Flava D’s Aaliyah remix absolutely free.

It might have appeared a while ago, but to have it in sparkling high quality is a bit of a treat. The Wiley-affiliated producer dropped her debut 12″ earlier this year, and ‘One In A Million’ is yet another reason to give her output a closer look. With Aaliyah’s familiar vocal taking centre-stage Flava throws down a skeletal 2-step accompaniment, allowing space for the whole thing to breathe, peppering it with just a sprinkling of cloudy synths and distant rave piano. It’s a corker of a remix of a track we’d usually deem untouchable – job well done, then.
