The Harlem talent shares Mixtape from the Du Pt.1, the latest in a long line of releases as unpredictable as they are free.

When he’s not making beats for the likes of Mykki Blanco and Le1f or crafting a “techno ass album” for UNO NYC (an imprint that has certainly lived up to FACT’s label-to-watch designation), Gobby stays busy with frequent free releases.

The latest, Mixtape from the Du Pt.1, bounds from frazzled techno to gurgling rap remixes to CD-skipping alt-rock. There’s even a track built on the answering machine scene from Swingers by SETH, the nascent collaboration between Gobby and vocalist James K. Stream the set below and download it via Sendspace; Gobby promises that “Part 2 [is] Coming Soon.”
