Glastonbury 2016 to hold David Bowie tribute screening

By , Feb 19 2016

Michael Eavis’ “best Glastonbury moment of all time” will be replayed this year.

Glastonbury Festival will pay tribute to David Bowie with a screening of the late musician’s 2000 performance at the festival.

Festival founder Michael Eavis confirmed the news in an interview with Radio X: “It’s going to be shown on one of the screens when the stages are shut down. We’ll show the entire set.”

Eavis said that Bowie’s headline slot in 2000 was maybe his “best Glastonbury moment of all time” after the singer’s death last month.

The screening joins previously announced Pyramid Stage headliners Coldplay and PJ Harvey who will play the Other Stage on the Sunday bill. [via Billboard]
