What do you think would happen if Madlib was forced to not record music for a month? We think he’d explode, or die, or both.

The latest venture for hip-hop’s most constantly creative madman revolves around a jam session with seminal Krautrock group Embryo. You can read some details, and see pictures of the session here. So far, so Madlib.

Anyway, not only did they jam, but they recorded “two albums’ worth of music” during these sessions, and Madlib is now planning to record an album as a duo with Bajka, Embryo’s vocalist, based around music from Embryo’s 1979 album, Embryo’s Reise.

On top of that, the band and Madlib have booked in a series of rehearsals together, with one live show already scheduled – this October 13, in Berlin. Support comes from J. Rocc and The Smells; tickets and more information can be found here and here.
