Morgan Geist, Environ Records boss, one half of Metro Area and all-around house and disco good egg, has announced details of a new project.

Under the name Storm Queen, this project will see Geist “return to his roots with an analog approach towards modern house music with a disco pedigree”. Featuring vocals from Damon C. Scott, a New York busker that Geist met on the Subway, the first 12” is titled ‘Look Right Through’, and arrives in limited numbers with the vocal on one side and dub mix on the B. It’s available at the Environ shop now.

In other Environ news, the label is reissuing Geist’s previously bootlegged Detroit EP, in its original three track form (the original, by Geist, and two remixes by Carl Craig). The bootleg version only featured two tracks.
