Forgotten Chicago house legend Maurice Donovan is back, with a one-sided, vinyl only release.

Titled ‘Call my Name’, it features Maurice’s trademark trick of taking a simple vocal line and stretching it to absolute breaking point, over a simple bed of toms and hi-hats that seem to dissolve into the ether. He’s still one of the best around at doing a massive amount with minimal elements, and a clear influence on modern producers like Pearson Sound. It must be in the milk.

There’s no full audio of ‘Call my Name’ available yet, but Phonica, who’re also selling the 12″, have samples streaming.
