Pretty much everyone likes the new Dirty Projectors album. This is probably because it’s very good.
And it’s for that reason that it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to check them out when they tour Europe this September. Bitte Orca‘s the best thing Dave Longstreth and co have ever done, and given how unpredictable this lot are they might go and follow it with a Kelley Polar tribute album (actually, that would probably have a brilliant stage show, but that’s hardly the point), so it’s as good a time as ever to see them.
They’re playing at the following dates:
09 September: Paris (FR), Maroquinerie (with Tune-Yards)11 September: Dorset (UK), End Of The Road Festival – main stage,
12 September: Isle Of Wight (UK), Bestival13 September: London (UK), Scala (with Tune-Yards)16 September: Dublin (IE), Whelans (with Tune-Yards)19 September: Brussels (BE), Botanique (with Sunset Rubdown & Tune-Yards)20 September: Amsterdam (NL), Melkweg (with Tune-Yards)21 September: Berlin (DE), Festsaal Kreuzberg (with Tune-Yards)25 September: Toulouse (FR), Le Printemps de Septembre Festival
