It’s been relatively common knowledge for a while that the latest of Tempa’s Dubstep Allstars compilations – Volume 7, for those keeping score – would be a double-CD affair curated by Chef and Ramadanman. The tracklisting for both discs has now been revealed.

Rinse FM DJ Chef’s CD features plenty of material from long-term associates Skream and Benga, and a healthy amount of tracks by Distance, Cotti, LD, Silkie and D1. There’s also a few of his own productions, plus a big FACT fave in Kito’s ‘LFO’ and VIP mixes of 2000F and J Kamata’s ‘You Don’t Know What Love Is’ and Mr Lager’s ‘Tell Me’.

Hessle Audio boss Ramadanman’s CD, meanwhile, sports plenty of anthems from the more house-leaning, anti-wobble side of dubstep: Untold, Scuba, Pangaea, Shortstuff and Micky Pearce, James Blake and Joe all feature, along with the more traditional sounds of D1, RSD and Quest.

We’re loving the slight ying yang vibes going on with the sleeve too. Chef, a name traditionally associated with food in big bright colours, Ramadanman, a name traditionally associated with fasting, in what looks suspiciously like a black Judo suit. To eat or not to eat, innit.
