Daily Download: Cinnamon Chasers – Luv Deluxe (Scuba Remix)

Today’s Daily Download is a remix of ‘Luve Deluxe’, a track by the up-and-coming Cinnamon Chasers.
The original is a soaring, DIY yacht-pop jam, reminiscent of ‘Avalon’-era Roxy Music and Chris Rea (in a good way). Its video – a cameraphone-shot, globetrotting tale of love and recrimination – has already picked up a ton of views on YouTube. Check it out below.

The remix comes courtesy of Scuba. The Berlin-based dubstep producer is enjoying a rich vein of form at the moment, with his Sub:Stance mix CD for Ostgut-Ton out shortly, and a debut artist album following soon after. His remix builds on the original’s airy synths and strips everything else away, resulting in a crisp and swinging slice of steppers’ techno that we pretty much guarantee you’ll love.
‘Luv Deluxe’ is released on January 11, and also includes a remix by N-Type. Look out too for some tasty Roxy Music edits from Cinnamon Chasers, due a little later this year.
